Cooperating Associations

CMEA-SS serves as an umbrella organization for numerous other music education associations within our region. These organizations represent the broad spectrum of the numerous components that make up what is commonly called "music education." Specifically, these include local CMEA organizations, associations that represent specific elements found in all quality music education programs - instrumental (band and orchestra), vocal (choral), and the numerous approaches to what is often lumped together under the term "general music." In addition, organizations devoted to promoting specific types of music (such as jazz) or various populations, ranging from pre-school to adult music education programs are also included.
